Hi! I’m Meghan, the face behind A Piece of Quiet Quilts. I’m all about quilting, and I’m passionate about bringing Timeless Sophistication into every project.

First and foremost – One of my favorite parts of my business is using my 12-foot computerized longarm machine to help quilters like you finish your projects with elegance and precision. In less than 2 weeks, you can have your quilt top, wall hanging, table runner, or other quilted items finished professionally and with care. I offer digital edge-to-edge longarm services using an APQS Lucey Longarm machine with IntelliQuilter computerized stitching, capable of handling any size quilt. My goal is to enhance your quilt with refined, timeless stitching that beautifully complements your design.

But that’s not all – I also channel my creativity into quilt pattern design. To date, I have released 14 patterns, including two patterns that have been featured in Modish Quilter Magazine, and several in the AGF Fabric Lookbooks. My quilt patterns are designed for today’s modern, busy quilters. While many beginner-friendly patterns are simple, they can often lack excitement. I strive to create patterns that are easy to follow, with detailed diagrams, allowing even novice quilters to build their skills while creating stunning, sophisticated quilts for their homes.

How did I get here?

I’ve been sewing since I was just a kid, making my first quilt around age 10 from a kit of pre-cut squares we found at a local shop. That first “quilt” may have been a humble start, but it quickly became the most coveted blanket in the house—especially for snuggling up on the couch when home sick!

I’ve come a long way since then! I began true quilting about 14 years ago, and it’s been a journey fueled by a love for making things with my own hands. My father, a carpenter, instilled in me a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, and I’ve always gravitated toward fiber arts, from crochet and knitting to quilting. There’s something so satisfying about working with my hands, whether I’m piecing a quilt top or hand binding while watching evening TV with my husband after the kids go to bed.
