A Little Self-Care in Quilt Form – My Aaron’s Garden Quilt
Sometimes, the best gifts are the ones we make for ourselves- My Modern Floral Quilt 💕
This Aaron’s Garden Quilt is my Valentine’s gift to myself—because yes, I have a wonderful family and a loving husband, but sometimes you just need to make something just for you!
I’ve been craving something bright and delicate to break up the winter gray, so when I got my hands on the new AGF Bloomcore fabric, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. I paired these florals with Wildflower Wovens in Wild Rose for the backing—these wovens are dreamy soft with a vintage, worn-in feel even straight off the bolt. It’s exactly what I needed to push away the winter blues and remind myself that spring is coming! 🌸🌿
A Curved Quilt Pattern That’s Fun & Fast
If you’re looking to practice sewing curves, Aaron’s Garden Quilt is a great one to try! It’s super forgiving and comes together really fast, making it a great choice for both confident beginners and experienced quilters looking for a satisfying make.
Quilting & Finishing Touches
To keep the soft, floral feel going, I quilted this one with Everyday Daisy, a sweet and subtle pantograph from OESD Longarm Quilting Designs. The gentle daisy design adds the perfect touch of movement without overpowering the fabrics.
For batting, I chose Bamboo Blend from Quilters Dream, and I’m so excited about how it will drape. This quilt is going to be light as a feather—the perfect balance of warmth and breathability. I can already imagine curling up with it and a good book! 📖✨
