So Many Beautiful Coreina Quilts – Meet the Testers!

I’m so thrilled to share the incredible work of the quilters who tested the Coreina Quilt pattern. Each of them brought their own unique vision and creativity to this design—and I’m endlessly grateful for their time, skill, and feedback.

It’s always such a joy to see how different fabric choices and layouts bring a pattern to life in totally unexpected ways. Whether scrappy, sleek, or somewhere in between, these versions show just how versatile Coreina really is.

Now let’s dive into some stunning quilts!

Nicole made this beautiful 3-color version of Coreina, affectionately called her “PB&J” quilt—and I am so in love with her color choices! The way she played with contrast and balance makes this version feel bold and cozy all at once. It’s such a great reminder that sometimes simple palettes make the biggest impact.

Nik made this stunning scrappy 3-fabric crib-size Coreina, and it’s full of personality and clever design choices! I love how she used fabric placement to create a subtle secondary design within the layout—and that stripy sashing? Total showstopper. You really can’t go wrong with a Tula Pink quilt, and this one is pure fun from edge to edge.

Sammy made a scrappy Fat Quarter throw-size Coreina, and it’s such a fun and vibrant stash-buster! I love how the variety of prints brings so much movement to the quilt—and that bold, near-black sashing ties it all together beautifully. It’s a great example of how Coreina can shine with a wide mix of fabrics and a strong contrast.

Hailey made a gorgeous 4-fabric throw-size Coreina—and it’s such a striking take on the pattern! I love the high contrast between her fabric choices, and the way she mixed florals with geometrics adds such a beautiful depth and balance to the design. It’s the perfect blend of bold and delicate.

Melissa made her Coreina quilt using the Bookish collection by Sharon Holland for @artgalleryfabrics, along with a few coordinating AGF prints she’s been saving for just the right project—and this quilt delivered! For a fun twist, she created a Valentine-themed layout, arranging her scrappy fabrics into subtle heart shapes (can you see them?) The mix of soft neutrals in the background adds beautiful movement and keeps the whole quilt feeling light and dynamic.

Itnuit stitched up a far-out 4-color version of Coreina, and the result is bold, moody, and full of personality. She chose a sci-fi inspired palette with her eldest kiddo, and it brings such a cool, cosmic energy to the layout. She photographed the quilt next Jenny’s (see @labizarra_jenny below!) gorgeous blue bookcase—complete with books, a candy machine, and plenty of playful vibes. Books and quilts? Yes, please.

Jenny made a bold and beautiful scrappy rainbow throw-size Coreina, and it’s bursting with color and charm! She finally cut into her treasured Tana Lawn fabrics from Liberty of London, making this quilt extra special. The rainbow palette adds a playful energy to the structured layout—and the result is as joyful as it is eye-catching.

Martha made a striking two-color Coreina in vibrant yellow and blue, and I just love how bold and graphic it feels! This version is a perfect example of how a limited color palette can make a big impact—and honestly, it would be such a fun way to rep your favorite sports-ball team in quilt form!

Jesse made a beautiful crib-size Coreina using a classic combination of navy and soft blue, and the result is effortlessly elegant. The clean contrast between the two prints gives this smaller version a timeless feel while still letting the Coreina layout shine through. Simple, striking, and so well done.
